We offer world class Guitar, Piano and Violin instruction to students of all ages. Lessons are currently available in Gaithersburg, Rockville, & Germantown Maryland

No less than theory, technique and artistry, we strive to convey our love of music to each student and to help him or her find a passion for the subject.  We believe that a student who masters only theory and technique can play competently -- but one who has a love for music can soar.

As one would expect, thorough instruction in technique and theory provides the foundation for each student’s training at Singing Strings.  Using both traditional and Suzuki methods, we tailor our teaching to find the approach that works best for each student.  As students master the basics, we help each incorporate an increasingly sophisticated artistry into his or her performance.  

Youth Lessons

Are you interested in learning how to play an instrument?  Our lessons are designed for all levels and ages.  Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player, you will find our lessons enjoyable and helpful.  Course materials include a wide variety of solo selections supplemented by scale, sight reading, and finger training books.  The lessons also include music theory.

We also prepare students for upcoming auditions at Montgomery County Youth Orchestra (MCYO) and Potomac Valley Youth Orchestra (PVYO).  

Adult Lessons

You are never too old to learn an instrument.  Whether your goals are to play for your own enjoyment or play in a group, you can renew your dream of playing your instrument with a proven, step-by-step, one-on-one instruction.  Start playing today!
